The core difference
Traditional casting pours metal in open air or by centrifugal force. Vacuum casting removes air from the melt and the flask, so metal fills the cavity without trapping gas. That single difference cascades into quality, yield and consistency gains.
Porosity and surface quality
Traditional casting is prone to gas porosity and surface pitting. Vacuum casting produces dense, smooth castings that need less finishing and pass inspection more often.
Metal loss
Open melting exposes metal to oxygen, increasing oxidation and loss. Vacuum casting’s controlled environment keeps loss kept to the lowest — a meaningful saving on gold and silver.
Detail and consistency
Vacuum-assisted filling reproduces thin walls and fine detail that traditional methods miss, and digital control makes every cycle repeatable.
